Catalyst

What a great bunch of guys!  Catalyst also had a 2nd gig August 2nd that was in another town so to accommodate them we booked them to open up the music for Augustfest 2008.

It was ten in the morning and a whole lot of people hadn't showed up yet.  But, they set up, plugged in their amps and tuned their guitars and at ten o'clock sharp they started playing.

My vantage point was to the side of the stage and after the second song I noticed a man across the street listening to the music.  I thought for sure he would go back in his house and call the police to say the music was too loud.  But, instead he dressed his three kids and walked them across the street to participate in AugustFest and listen to Catalyst.

To me, at that moment the whole event was worth it.  Catalyst's commitment to go on stage without a person in the seats showed their firm commitment in ministering to all who needed to hear about Christ's love and further the kingdom.

Their mission is to create an atmosphere of worship that implores participation and freedom of expression, initiating an encounter with God.

They easily fulfilled their mission at our 2008 AugustFest and were thoroughly enjoyed by both vendors, participants and volunteers.

Merge is a band of blended individuals creating a unique "flavor" of worship. We believe that this "flavor" transcends denominations, colors, ages, backgrounds, and cultures. We believe that God uses worship as a conduit to draw people to Him. We also believe that our enjoyment of worship was planted in us to fulfill this mission.

T-R.O.C.

T-R.O.C. is a gospel recording artist from Tacoma, Washington. T-R.O.C. is an acronym which stands for "Terry Representing Only Christ". The oldest of five siblings, he was born in Germany, raised in Washington and is now a husband and proud parent of two sons.  Sold out and on fire for Jesus, T-R.O.C.  doesn't just talk the word of God, he lives it. He's his own executive producer (co producer Navel Davis), composer, and song writer, he writes all his songs in such a way that you can hear and understand every word and message in each song.  A lot of times you may hear songs you can't understand what the person is saying, talking about or the meaning behind the song.  It's not the song, but the word of God in the song that changes lives.

His debut CD is titled "Live for Jesus" is filled with many biblical scriptures and the anointed word of God. Youth today tend to look up to many secular music artists, movie stars and athletes for role models.  T-R.O.C. is a positive role model for the youth, who keeps things real and brings the truth.  He takes the gospel to a whole new level with much energy, excitement and enthusiasm, all for the glory of God.

Larry

Moses

There comes a time in every young mans life when he is faced with the
choice - take the road less traveled or choose the easy way out and give in
to the typical ways of this world.  For Vlad, Record of Life front man, this
time came at the age of 17. When two of the band mates decided to suddenly
walk out on him, he was left with no one but Larry, the bass player, and a
passion for  music. After numerous failed attempts to bring the band back
together, he realized that God has a different plan, when he met Vovik, a
guitar player who lived next door. Immediately the guys started playing
together and writing. With the new lineup came new inspiration, which gave
birth to their first song, "He Still Loves You," a powerfull rock ballad.
Excited for what God was doing in their life, the band was still in need of
drummer who would share the same vision and passion for their music. Their
prayers were answered half a year later, when Vovik's brother, Moses,
decided to try out, even though he had little experience on the drums.  As
time went on, the young drummer honed his craft by practicing countless
hours and playing local shows.
In January 2006, the band started to work in the studio on their first
recordings. While juggling work, recording sessions, playing live shows and
school, the guys managed to record "Louder," their first EP, which speaks of
hope, survival and living for a greater purpose. "Sometimes we complain that
God doesn't hear us and our prayers, but we don't realize that all we have
to do is simply ask Him louder." -Vlad, ROL.
